Households looking to make home energy savings can now receive a £400 grant towards the cost of a new boiler under a boiler scrappage scheme because of a scheme which is aimed at boosting jobs as well as helping to tackle the consequences of climate change.
Following on from the successful car scrappage scheme which offers £2000 towards a new car, the boiler scrappage scheme is aimed at both cutting carbon emissions and helping people to pay less for the cost of heating their homes.
Up to 125,000 households in England can apply for a grant of £400 towards the cost of renewing their inefficient old boilers as well as potential annual savings of over £200 a year on the cost of heating the home.
