In a latest cost cutting (or income raising) exercise, it seems that Ryanair is considering charging their low cost flyer’s (or should that be fliers) a pound to use the aeroplanes toilets.
So it soon may pay for you to use the men’s room or the ladies closet before you decide to use their on board toileting facilities .
However, in our opinion this may be more of an episode in “how to pay less for advertising” because surely the people in charge of Ryan air have realised that this will actually end up costing them more money than it will actually raise, mainly due to a natural drop in the purchase of on board drinks by those thrifty regular travellers with weak bladders who like to pay less for flights and use low cost flight services to save money.
Surely those are the people who will definitely not want to “spend a penny” on board anymore.
Sorry, couldn’t resist it
Update: Despite over 2 years passing since we posted this story Ryanair has still not begun charging it’s passengers to use the toilet facilities
