The Guy Fawkes or Bonfire Night celebrations are just about upon us for another year.
Magazine & newspaper classifieds are full of the supposedly fantasting bargains that can be had when your looking to buy fireworks for your garden party.
Our advice from is very simple: Don’t buy fireworks and instead plan a family trip to an organised fireworks display.
Apart from this being a much safer option than trying to impress the kids by risking burns to your fingers (or worse) it can also work out a lot less expensive while being lots more fun because an organised event has many advantages.
- They can afford to buy more and much bigger fireworks than you can
- They have safety measures put in place to protect you and your family
- They generally have inexpensive hot dog stalls (If not take your own packed suppers
)
On top of that you can still take the praise (as far as the kids are concerned) for a brilliant fireworks display and you can rid yourself of the ever familiar “you never take us anywhere” remark.
If you do decide to go ahead and buy your own “bargain” fireworks make sure they are legitimate and carry the appropriate safety classifications.
